چکیده

Surface registration is a fundamental problem in computer graphics and computer-aided design. The consists finding deformation from one surface to another that preserves some properties. For instance, our inverse engineering context, we aim at the best, as isometric possible, map between an input triangular model, large point cloud acquired on actual mechanical part being processed. Existing solutions are not able handle very models with good level of precision. We propose method which accurate fast. Our solution combines efficient iterative energy minimization scheme hierarchical decomposition geometry. experiments show obtain fast algorithm compared state-of-the art method, while keeping its numerical accuracy.

As-rigid-as-possible surface modeling

Modeling tasks, such as surface deformation and editing, can be analyzed by observing the local behavior of the surface. We argue that defining a modeling operation by asking for rigidity of the local transformations is useful in various settings. Such formulation leads to a non-linear, yet conceptually simple energy formulation, which is to be minimized by the deformed surface under particular...

As-rigid-as-possible spherical parametrization

In this paper, we present an efficient approach for parameterizing a genus-zero triangular mesh onto the sphere with an optimal radius in an as-rigid-as-possible (ARAP) manner, which is an extension of planar ARAP parametrization approach to spherical domain. We analyze the smooth and discrete ARAP energy and formulate our spherical parametrization energy from the discrete ARAP energy. The solu...

As-Rigid-AsPossible Distance Field Metamorphosis

Widely used for morphing between objects with arbitrary topology, distance field interpolation (DFI) handles topological transition naturally without the need for correspondence or remeshing, unlike surface-based interpolation approaches. However, lack of correspondence in DFI also leads to ineffective control over the morphing process. In particular, unless the user specifies a dense set of la...

Shape-aware as rigid as possible deformation

We propose a formulation capable of deforming meshes in a shape-sensible way. We explain how to adapt the original space-deforming algorithm [2] into a skeleton-driven deformation scheme, where more sensitivity to the mesh geometry is achieved. The more natural results make it possible to use the technique for character animation.

As-rigid-as-possible mosaicking and serial section registration of large ssTEM datasets

MOTIVATION Tiled serial section Transmission Electron Microscopy (ssTEM) is increasingly used to describe high-resolution anatomy of large biological specimens. In particular in neurobiology, TEM is indispensable for analysis of synaptic connectivity in the brain. Registration of ssTEM image mosaics has to recover the 3D continuity and geometrical properties of the specimen in presence of vario...
